No You Cant!

Can I just put something out into the cyberspace? Just because people can't afford health care does not mean that they either don't have jobs or that they are lazy. In fact, many places of business have stopped offering healthcare to their lower employees because it is too expensive, and with the economy the way it is, cannot pay for it. It is a circular argument, the way to stay healthy is too live in a healthy environment, which requires clean water, clean air, and a clean working environment. Whereas if you work in a factory where you are constantly inhaling things you shouldn't, or if you work construction and can't afford to hurt yourself, what happens when you do? Yes, there is workman's comp, but if you are the sole provider for your family and you're out of work, what happens to them? 

I'd also like to point out that most recently graduated students can't afford healthcare between when they graduate from college and when they get a job (if they get a job). Because they are no longer in school, they are no longer on their parents plan, or under the college's care, which, with their rising debt (because school is so expensive now too), they elect to try and live (shelter, food, water) and try not to get sick, rather than pay for healthcare. 

There are many people in this country who cannot afford healthcare because of their lack of education or lack of a job. Please do not insult them by calling them lazy. Circumstances are not always what they seem. Also, no matter how much you would like to call socialized healthcare communist, communism still remains an economic practice, not a political one. 

Yes, I understand that taxes would increase. That sucks, but at the same time, WE'RE IN FUCKING DEBT! Taxes were going to increase anyway to get out of debt, unless, of course, we cut taxes and sink deeper and deeper into this quicksand. 

Nothing is going to change overnight, socialized healthcare would take years to institute, and if it does become viable, I imagine there will still be privitized doctors you can pay for.

We have universal health care in Canada, and though its about as expensive tax-wise as indpendant firms selling it, the differece is that everyone gets it... especiilly considering the people that need it most. For example, i grew up in a single parent family. If my mom had to pay for every time i had to see a doctor, we'd have been on the street a long time ago. There's a good reason why all those countries in Europe have it, it protects the underpriveleged, so get it through your thick american skulls.

I love how people have all of this influence on the youth of this nation, but thrust liberal garbage down their throats.  Most of my friends are voting for Obama only becuase he is young, and african american.  Since when does age or race factor into how anyone is able to do their job.
