Pope Disagrees With Gordon Gekko
<\p>That wacky Pope of ours is at it again. Pope Benedict has denounced what he's called our "profit at all costs mentality" and has called for a "New World Financial Order." "Greed has brought about the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression," said the man in the jewel-encrusted hat. You can check out the AP story here. It's hard to swallow such a bold indictment from the Catholic Church, an organization that declared priests cannot marry because the church didn't want them leaving their money to their widows after they passed on. They preferred the money stay within the church, for holy reasons of course. I wonder in this "New World Financial Order" will the Pope get to keep his palace, his golden throne, his golden ring, his golden statues, his golden pen holder, or his gigantic golden crucifix necklace (which incidentally is exactly like the one Jesus wore). Thank you your Popeness, now tell us more about how our deviant sexual appetites will bring about armageddon.
